East Side Wrecking Crew

Born in the 1970’s I grew up in the Greater Toronto Area, spending the first 37 years of my life there. Amongst the blue collar factory workers in the east end of The Golden Horseshoe, our focus was less about adventure and experiences, (although my family did the best they could for me and my siblings) and more about survival making it through the next day, week, month and year. It wasn’t until i reached my mid thirties that my mind was opened to the idea of travel, experiencing the outdoors, new cultures and new demographics. That was around the same time YouTube gained popularity. After just a couple of solo trips to get my feet wet i knew, this was it for me, there was no turning back.
So it began I started down the path of teaching my self photography, videography & editing etc. This is an ongoing process in which I strive to improve in regularly, making a conscious effort to try something new on every trip. Be it a new editing trick or visiting a new terrain/location that I’m unfamiliar with. I strive to keep myself uncomfortable with seeking that thrill I found when I took my first solo trip to a foreign country with little research other than a quick forum review or two. Now its simply what I love to do, my passion, my purpose, it’s like going to church for me. I couldn’t be happier documenting our travels from our home base on the Eastern Slopes of the Canadian Rockies and beyond. So thankful to have a forum like this and the means to be able to share it with you!
What’s next? No-one knows, live in the moment, embrace change, thanks for coming along and joining us!!
The future looks bright, see you at church…
